Overview Page For Transfer Day

As part of the lecture “Business Information Systems” taught by Prof. Dr. Härting in the degree program Business administration for small and medium-sized enterprises At Aalen University, students were able to gain insights into the fields of e-business and business software. The starting point for this project work is the event organized by the Transfertages. Since 2006, it has served as a platform for knowledge transfer from the university to the regional economy and for promoting the exchange of expertise between companies.

The aim of the project group is to create an animated overview for the website. www.transfertag.de for the ninth transfer day and set it as the start page. The creation and design will be done with WordPress. In addition, responsive design will be used.

At the beginning of the project work, the problem and the objectives are explained in more detail. In addition, the procedure for setting up and publicizing the overview page is described. The project team is also introduced.

The project group then conducts an analysis of the current website. www.transfertag.de, which contains information about the eighth transfer day. This serves as a template for planning the overview page for the ninth transfer day. The project team completes the project planning based on a target group analysis and the resulting requirements profile for the website.

The structure and design of the page will be created in several steps. For an initial draft of the overview page, the group needs general information about the 9th Transfer Day, including the date, program, organization, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors. They obtain this information from the organizers and those responsible. Based on this information, an initial concept is developed for the design and an overall draft is created. This draft is regularly revised and adapted in the course of the project work.

The project team will acquire basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, WordPress, and responsive design for the implementation of the overview page. Knowledge of the basics of creating animations is also required, as the page is intended to serve as an eye-catcher with the help of animations. Social media plugins will be integrated to promote the website. Since the necessary functions are developed as a team, social skills are also developed in addition to technical and methodological expertise.

During the course of the project, the team will also create a presentation and a workshop for their fellow students, which will cover the basics of WordPress and the design of animations.

The entire project concludes with the submission of the project report, in which the team's exact approach is explained in writing.
