In the course \u201cBusiness Information Systems\u201d in the Business Administration for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises program, the data mining tool \u201cSmartPLS\u201d will be examined using a case study in the 2017\/18 winter semester. The project will be carried out by students in their fourth semester.
The program is capable of investigating complex cause-and-effect relationships.<\/a>\u00a0This allows large data sets to be analyzed and hypotheses to be verified or falsified. In order to familiarize fellow students with the statistics software, several workshops led by the project team will also be held.<\/p>

The project team receives professional support from research assistant Christopher Reichstein (M.Sc) and Prof. Dr. Ralf-Christian H\u00e4rting, who teaches this module.<\/p>

Chapter\u00a02:<\/strong>\u00a0The basics of SmartPLS are addressed by first discussing the background of the program. To better understand the subject area, it is essential to explain important basic terms. For this reason, this section briefly discusses relevant basic statistical terms. The project team provides insight into the application of SmartPLS in science and explains the methods used by the program.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
