As part of Prof. Dr. H\u00e4rting's lecture on \u201cBusiness Information Systems\u201d in the Business Administration for SMEs program at Aalen University, students were introduced to a number of information systems. Later in the lecture, students were encouraged to form project teams and work on a project within these teams. After a brief period of consideration, the project team decided on the task relating to the \u201cRapidMiner\u201d information system. The amount of data generated in everyday business life is constantly increasing. That is why e-business systems such as RapidMiner are becoming increasingly important. They offer an indispensable advantage in the form of targeted analyses of large amounts of data and decision-making in various business management issues.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The aim of the project work is to present how RapidMiner works and illustrate this with the help of a case study. Furthermore, other students will be involved by conducting a workshop that we have created ourselves. This will give all students the opportunity to gain an insight into the RapidMiner program. At the end of the project phase, the project team will produce a final report containing all the basic information on RapidMiner.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The first chapter begins with an introduction that outlines the task at hand, the project team, and its approach. The second chapter then delves into the fundamentals of data mining. It explains the term \u201cbig data\u201d and provides an introduction to the nature of data mining. Another sub-section covers familiarization with the RapidMiner program. In addition, the diverse applications of this software are explained. The next chapter deals with the case study \u201ccredit assessment.\u201d First, the topic is explained and the project team's selection criteria for the case study are clarified. The selected case study is then applied with the help of the e-business software RapidMiner. The chapter concludes with an evaluation and analysis of the collected data. The findings developed and collected are summarized in the fourth part and rounded off with an outlook.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
