Due to the ever-accelerating pace of technological development, which is evident in the high number of Internet users, among other things, the market environment for companies is also changing increasingly. For example, digitization is creating new distribution channels and market access, and competition is becoming increasingly global. In order to meet these new challenges, companies must rethink their existing business models and make adjustments. One aspect of this is to expand their internet presence in order to better reach their target groups and remain competitive in the global market.<\/p>

These and other topics are the focus of the 9th Transfer Day, \u201cDigital Transformation \u2013 Smart Product World and New Business Models,\u201d part of the \u201cBusiness Administration for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises\u201d degree program.<\/p>

The transfer day serves to promote the exchange of knowledge between the regional economy and Aalen University. A website can be used to support this transfer. Both the results of the transfer day and relevant information are made available there in advance.<\/p>

The result is that the project aims to expand its internet presence in order to update important information about Transfer Day and communicate it to the outside world. This is supported by links on the website and the establishment of a presence on Facebook. This serves to draw attention to both Transfer Day and the associated website. One advantage of this approach is that it expands the reach of the target group.<\/p>

The existing website www.transfertag.de is being redesigned and expanded with the help of the WordPress content management system. The structure of the website is to be adapted so that all relevant content can be accessed and updated quickly and easily. In addition, new tabs, such as an image gallery, will enable visitors to get an impression of the event in advance.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Once the topics have been assigned, an initial discussion of the topic \u201cExpanding an Internet presence using the given example\u201d takes place:
www.transfertag.de.\" We will gain an initial overview of the current status of the website from the previous Transfer Day in 2016. Based on this, we will create a preliminary outline as well as a task and schedule plan. This combined plan will define the individual work packages and estimate the time required for each. In addition, a person responsible for each individual task is appointed to monitor compliance with the deadlines. Furthermore, an expos\u00e9 is written, which, like the other documents, is intended to serve as a guide.<\/p>

The expansion of the website \u201cwww.transfertag.de\u201d is being carried out with the help of the WordPress content management system. Our main focus is on updating the content and expanding the website with new functions. Furthermore, the Transfertag's internet presence is being established via Facebook.<\/p>

In a workshop, the project team presents the special features of working with WordPress and guides fellow students through an application example that they develop themselves.<\/p>

The final milestone of the project is the submission of the project report, which shows how the team approached the task.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
